Hello Everyone,
Long time no speak, lol. ;-) Well, my exams are bloody near and I can’t tell you how lost I am feeling right now. If I didn’t manage to pass them, I can’t explain the consequences I’ll have to face. I’m just keeping a low profile on social media these days, especially my blog. Today, I finally forced myself to put up a post, I know that blogging shouldn’t feel like a chore but these days I’m just fed-up with everything and hunt for ways to avoid studying. At the end of the day “it’s my bad,” but then who doesn’t hate exams? Let’s get to the review of the New Ponds Face wash.
Price, Availability & Packaging
I bought this product for 250 PKR from Al Fatah. The packaging is nothing new, just a simple white tube of 87ml. If you are planning to travel with it, I would suggest buying the smaller version or simply securing the lid with a solid tape. I don’t trust the cap of this face wash.
Claims
The product promises to prevent acne spots and has Thymo-T Essence as an active ingredient. Thymo-T Essence is known for fighting acne by destroying it from its root. It also assists in easing excess oil and flare-ups. This product also contains Salicylic and Lauric acid which are majorly known for combatting blemishes.
Texture & Consistency
The consistency of this product is thinner than the previous Ponds face washes I’ve used but it foams in a similar way. You just need a pea-sized amount to work this up into a lather and that is a good thing, since, the product lasts a long time. It doesn’t have any scrubbing particles in it, which were contained in the former Ponds pimple face wash, which is still available in the market.
Scent
It smells fresh and similar to the Previous Ponds Pimple Face wash I’ve tried. Though, the fragrance is not bothersome or a deal-breaker for sensitive noses.
My Thoughts
I’ve been using this face wash for two weeks now and it hasn’t impressed me much. It makes my skin drier than it naturally is and that only increases the need to put on more moisturizer. It cleans my face well but is rather too stripping. I can blame the many acne-based ingredients or simply say it out loud that this product doesn’t suit my skin.
I have tried the other Ponds Pimple face wash as well and I have to say that one does a great job on my skin. It’s neither too harsh nor too stripping. That one keeps my pimples at a balanced rate and makes my skin look even as well but this, Nada!
I feel this will be much better or even good for oily skin tones but dry skins should stay away from it if you want some sanity left in your skin. I have kept this review short, since, there’s nothing much to explain about this face wash, plus I haven’t noticed any change in my pimples or their growth.
Recommendation
For
oily skin types!
Would I Repurchase
Nope!
I’ll be switching back to my previous Ponds Face washes.
