Hello Folks,
I’ve always been envious of girls who after buying a product will whip out a million other dupes, leaving their audience open-mouthed. Earnestly, I’ve never come across dupes myself, it isn’t that I haven’t compared products – I’ve done that a lot but I guess you do need to have a big makeup stash to come upon product dupes and unfortunately, I don’t own a large makeup collection. Well, I found my first dupe ever when I was least expecting it - furthermore wasn’t even interested! But fate happened and my blush swatching came useful – finally!
Price & Availability
You can buy these products from Daraz.pk, Beautybar.pk and Reforma.pk. For international buyers, check out the Official Freedom Professional website or visit Superdrug.
I discovered that NYX blush in “Apricot” and Freedom blush in “Rare” are the most similar shades ever. Both of these have a coral hue that leans more towards pink. I really love the color of these, you might find NYX blush tad light while swatching but on the cheeks, both of these look the same.
Pigmentation
I don’t have many good things to say about the NYX blush “Apricot” and you can read my review on this product here as well. It doesn’t have a nice pigmentation, instead, it takes quite a lot of swipes to get the desired result, which isn’t my thing. Whereas the Freedom blush is completely opposite in terms of pigmentation and you just need a little product for a pop of color and get the needed effect.
Texture
I have to say that NYX blush is very finely-milled and the fallout is minimal but Freedom one is slightly rough in texture and is prone to more fallout than NYX. The NYX blush is sheer in texture and gives a bit of glow when applied but Freedom is matte in texture with a tinge of shimmer in it, which doesn’t show up on the cheeks, anyways.
Longevity
Freedom takes the lead when it comes to longevity power and it stays for a decent length. I haven’t experimented with a lot to give you numbers but yes, it lasts for a long time. As for NYX, I must say I am disappointed because it vanishes without any notice. It feels like I apply this blush on and the next minute it’s gone, which is a big bummer in my opinion. However, you might need to apply a generous amount of the NYX Blush to expand the lasting power.
Overall
Freedom gets a thumbs up from me for creating a fabulous blush and if you are looking for this type of color, I will recommend you to get it, since, it costs half the price of NYX blush and is twice as good.

I can understand the feeling....when I started following bloggers, I was amazed as to how easily they were able to find dupes but to be honest once you start expanding your makeup collection, you do end up finding colors that are similar. Here's to the joy of finding more dupes in the future....Good Luck!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your lovely comment. Yes, a big makeup collection increases the likelihood of finding dupes. I am working on my makeup collection these days, though I must say buying good products is much better than enlarging the makeup stash. :)
DeleteThese both shades look gorgeous! Perfect shades for spring x

Pink Frenzy
Yes, both of these shades are very nice but quality-wise Freedom is better. Thank you for stopping by. :)
DeleteBoth look like beautiful shades that I would really enjoy wearing. I love those little NYX blushers and have always wanted to try so many shades from that line but sadly when NYX finally came to UK they got rid of these blushers xxx

Hmm, well my experience with this Nyx blusher didn't really go well, since, it isn't very pigmented and long-lasting. Though, I must admit the shade is beautiful. But if you are looking to pick any one of these, I will recommend the Freedom blusher. Thank you for stopping by. :)
DeleteWow nice discovery. Love both shades.
ReplyDeleteYes, both are shades are pretty but Freedom blush is better than the Nyx one. Thanks for stopping by. :)

I'm glad you liked the colors. Thank you for stopping by. :)
DeleteI just realised that Freedom power blush has a very similar packaging to Makeup Academy (MUA) cream blush! I wonder if they came from the same manufacture... Isn't Freedom Cosmetics related to Makeup Revolution?
ReplyDeleteAlso, NYX is going to open its first ever store in my country this week and I'm going to the launch party! Can't wait to play around and get my first ever NYX blush! What shade would you recommend me getting? :D

Yes, Freedom and Makeup Revolution are one, same manufacturers. That's good news! Nyx is a very nice brand and I would suggest you to get their lip products. As for Nyx Blushes - I haven't had a good experience but I've only tried one. You can try Nyx Blush in Pinched, its considered a dupe for the Sleek Rose Gold Blush. Thanks for stopping by and have a fun time at the launch party. :)
DeleteThe shades look really close. Nice catch.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked my find. Thanks for stopping by. :)
