Newly Purchased #11

By Chaste & Beautiful - Monday, March 07, 2016

Hoarding and going on a spree for every month’s grocery is real fun. Besides, I spend whole month anticipating this moment. Pleasure is all mine, as I get my hands on things already enlisted in my mind. In fact every month’s grocery list is set by me. This month we proceeded to Al-Fatah, a reputable shopping place, though I would love to shop in Green Valley someday. Plus I believe Hyperstar is a much better option too. Metro chain is just average in my opinion, however they do have some awesome deals, but still I’ve never liked the atmosphere in there.

So, coming to this month’s bargain hunting, as you can see I did buy a few items I wanted to purchase other than the usual stuff I share with you regularly. Let’s begin with soaps first because soaps are the leading particulars going in my shopping cart.

Harmony Soaps: PKR 42 per piece

The fact that no other soaps have impressed us more than Harmony still survives. I don’t think we can ever give up on these. Budget friendly, skin and hygiene responsive, along with vibrant fruity smells, these soaps are just incredible, moreover you get a huge bar of 150gms on such a convenient price. For further details, check out my blog post here.

Close-Up Toothpastes: PKR 12O each

These buddies are another obsession of the household and we ignore all other brands, despite their loud claims. These toothpastes are really refreshing and leave you with an energized, clean mouth. Also, they arrive in several flavors and each savor screams for a try.

Vidal Sassoon Smoothing Shampoo: PKR 645
I have yet to sample this product. Vidal Sassoon is a fairly old company but is well known and to get my honest opinion on it, you’ll have to wait for a while. I am on a hunt for shampoos suitable for my hair, so that motive keeps urging me towards newer brands. The size is immense, bottle comprising 750 ml of the product. I am in eagerness honestly, can’t wait to test it.

Body Luxuries Body Splash (Black Amethyst): PKR 155

I still haven’t praised these body mists enough. With this price you get 236 ml of mist with a fragrance that mystifies all, furthermore there are oodles to choose from. It is my all-time favorite indeed, and to know more, you’ll have to hold your fire. What else can you want?

St. Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Moisturizer: PKR 475

This buddy is our companion of dry days. Yes, we certainly wait for winter to renew our skin moisturizing process through it. Very economically priced, this is intensely hydrating, smoothing out the parched texture and leaving behind a non-greasy touch. You’ll have to read on this one, here.

Body Luxuries Dancing Waters Body Lotion: PKR 245

Body Luxuries is a UK based brand coming up with moderately priced but good quality products. Earlier, I have mentioned their body splash, now it is this body lotion with 500 ml treatment that is ultra-hydrating with a nice scent. I have to reviewed this body lotion but with different ingredients, read here.

Pond’s White Beauty Daily Spotless Lightening Facial Foam: PKR 225

Ah! I overlooked it while taking the snaps. Wish I could insert it in the pictures now. Anyhow, this is a 100gms tube with a splendid cream in it. Price is so low and on top of that you only have to squeeze out a tiny bit to wash your face. Don’t want to reveal all its assets yet, wait for my complete review on this baby I have started adoring.

Wooden Paddle Hair Brush: PKR 325

Initially I was going for tangle teasers, available these days in Al-Fatah but after seeing they were not original, my eyes went towards this beauty. It has very sharp but smooth bristles that untangle hair fairly easily, without any hair breakage. I’m glad I bought it.

Glade Perfumed Candles: PKR 395 each

My interest in perfumed candles is augmenting with every passing phase and I do seriously believe I’ll end up buying the really expensive ones. Well, these are average ones, but do manage to give off a pleasant, subtle whiff. This craze has intrigued me so much that a day without candle burning feels empty, and on clearer note, the guilty sensations of burning money doesn’t bother me anymore.

Beside this, before stepping out, I tested a foundation I’ve been after for two years. It wasn’t available in Pakistan then, it is now and ever since that day, my heart and mind are in its grasp. I won’t disclose the name yet; however I’ll be purchasing it soon. I do hope so.

Did you buy anything this month?
