Review // Wet n Wild Ultimate Bronzing Powder!

By Chaste & Beautiful - Friday, August 28, 2015

Hello everyone,
This bronzer was given to me by one of my aunts. I'm very thankful to her as this is the first bronzer in my makeup collection. I have always stayed away from bronzers because I think Asian skins do not need bronzing as we already are very brown and tanned. Head down to read my review.

Price:
I found it on Amazon and the price is $4.98. If you are interested in buying Wet n Wild products, you can check out just4girls.pk

Claims:
1) Fragrance Free
2) Contains Vitamin E & Aloe
3) Wet n Wild does not test on animals

Directions:
Dust lightly over entire face for a natural, healthy glow or use on cheekbones as blusher.

Shade:
Light/medium

Packaging:
It comes in a white plastic compact of 7.4g. It comes with a brush which wasn't in a shape to be photographed. The packaging looks cheap but the lid shuts tightly and it is travel friendly. The packaging is simple and not pretty.

Scent:
It says that it is scent free but a faint smell is detectable. However, I'm not bothered by it.

Longevity:
It lasts for only 2 to 3 hours, which is not a very great lasting power.

Pigmentation:
This bronzer is very nicely pigmented and my brush picks up a lot of amount which in my opinion is awesome.

Texture:
This bronzer is very soft to touch but it has a tendency to flake/dust off when I trace my fingers on it. It makes the pan messy, so I need to wipe the pan every time I use this bronzer.

My Thoughts:
I always dust off the excess while using this bronzer, it is very pigmented and also appears to me quite powdery. When I got this bronzer, I applied it in the hollows of my cheeks and I don't know why but my cheeks weren't giving that bronze(y), contoured look rather they looked ridiculous. The problem with this bronzer is, it looks too orange(y) on my yellow skin tone and I have a love/hate relationship with it. I love it because I can wear it as a blusher and it gives that perfect fall look and I hate it because it does not fake shadows well on my cheeks. Now a days, I'm pairing it with a highlighter(the pink/purple one which you can see in the picture) and the result is beautiful every day cheeks. All in all I would say that you will be much better off if you use this bronzer as a blusher.  I would give it a rating of 3.5/5 to it.

Recommendation:
To those who are looking for a cheap bronzer that can also be used as a blusher.

Would I Repurchase?
No, I'm not interested in bronzers.

I hope you liked this post. Do you like bronzers? Tell me why you like them?

  5. Bronzers could be great because it just ads a shape to your face, but it's very different for every skin tone and I would recomend for you more lighter colours, and that bronzer looks like it has more orange undertone, but it's great to hear that you found another solution and use it as a blusher which is a great idea and I never thought about it. Also if you want more contoured look you shoud use liquid foundation which is 2 shades draker than you.
Also great post and lovely blog.

  11. It's a shame it didn't work so well! I've been having the same problems with bronzers too, the undertones can be off so it doesn't give a natural look :)
