Review || Andalou Naturals Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask – Brightening!

By Chaste & Beautiful - Monday, February 20, 2017

I always had the heart to try Andalou Naturals Skincare Products. I don’t know but there is definitely something enticing about their different skincare lines targeted for disparate reasons. Whether your concern is preventing acne crisis, wrinkles or dull skin, Andalou products have got you covered and it is an Organic brand! Moreover, I recently read in a beauty column that brightening products can really provide a vibrant appearance to your skin and were especially recommended for persons heading into their thirties. Though I am a long way to thirty, I still wanted to get a taste of this brightening fad.

I’ve read and written loads about Alpha Hydroxyl Acids, better known as “AHA’s. These are a bunch of naturals acids derived from food and this lineage consists of glycolic acid, lactic acid, and citric acid. Well, I chanced upon the glycolic one and trust me, this ingredient always interested me the most, due to its brightening and penetrating abilities. Masks, containing such ingredients are also prominent for being a "chemical exfoliator." Andalou Naturals takes down dead skin cells without skin abrasion and makes way for a newer, fresher skin without any irritation.

Yes, the compilation of Glycolic acid, Pumpkin, and Manuka Honey sounded very promising – to be honest. But we need to check the percentage of each ingredient to perceive whether the product will work efficiently or not. As Andalou hasn’t mentioned the ratio of these three ingredients, particularly Glycolic acid, I wasn’t sure whether it’ll work any wonders or not. Though, I was certainly in for a surprise.

Price

I bought this for 1355 PKR from Daraz.pk.

Packaging

The packaging is luxe-looking and I really like it. I know that dipping your hand in the pot repeatedly, isn’t the most hygienic thing to do but the goodness of this product zips my mouth.  It comes in a 50g tub, which I felt was too less for a face mask, but after I received the product, it appeared to be a decent amount that will last me through many uses. Also, the petite size makes it good for traveling.

Smell

I have to admit that I abhor the scent and this is my first experience with a Pumpkin-based product. It got me pondering that if Pumpkin smells similar to this mask, then I hate Pumpkin too, “LOLZ.” Nevertheless, the scent becomes minimal once you smear this on and after rinsing your face, it’s hardly noticeable, “High-Five.”

My Thoughts

I must say that this product consists of some pretty fabulous ingredients that are famous for their many beneficial properties. At first, I was daunted by the idea that it might be too harsh for my skin or may leave behind red splotches – my skin is sensitive and doesn’t stand piquant acids.  Nothing of this sort happened. I kept it on my face for 20 minutes. In the beginning, it does tingle your skin and provides a cooling sensation, You Know What? I love how it feels, the stinging sensations give me satisfaction and somehow prove that this mask is doing something effective for my skin.

After I took the mask off, “Holy Guacamole,” was the only statement that popped right out of my mouth. My skin looked very radiant, extremely clean and my acne spots were nowhere to be seen. You might be doubting my high claims, believe me, I was earnestly blown off with the results. The outcomes were always something I wished from a product but nothing was able to satisfy me in the past, however, this one is certainly the odd one out and excellent at that!

Also, the results aren’t short-lived. It seems like the mask still keeps on operating even after rinsing. My skin looked wonderful for full three days and I know with continued usage, my skin will be completely “Transformed Ya.” I have sampled this product for a whole month and today, I decided to finally project my genuine opinion.

Even, though, I had been using a face scrub before this mask but it never gave me such glowing and instantaneous results. This product does pay tribute to chemical exfoliation superbly well and on top of that it is Gluten-free, Non-GMO, Paraben-free, Sulfate-free, Phthalate-free, Cruelty-free, and is vegetarian. I’m tremendously impressed and I’ll definitely comb for similar products.

Recommendation

Yes, this is suitable for everyone, especially women searching for wrinkle and dull skin fighting products.

Would I Repurchase?

Is that even a question? Of course!

Have You Tried This Face Mask? Any recommendations?
