Review // Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof Mascara!

I have been waiting months to have my mitts on this mascara but I don’t know why I never got the chance to buy it and whenever the opportunity came, I had to suffer the disappointment of hearing that this gem was out of stock, the phrase we all hate. Finally, after spotting it on daraz.pk website, I decided to bit the bullet and purchase it. Man! I am not dissatisfied at all because this mascara is all I ever wished for. Price:

I bought it for 450 PKR from daraz.pk

Claims:

· This maxi-coverage formula contains intense ebony pigments. From the first brush stroke your lashes appear intensely blacker than black, for a deep glamorous look.
·  The precise lash building brush allows you to get the result you want: go from every day to dramatic in just a few strokes for a clean separate finish without the clumps.
·  Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.


Packaging:

The overall covering is cute and very convenient. The mascara is easy to carry, closes perfectly well and does not leak, a perfect companion for travelling in a makeup bag. It contains a generous amount of 12.5ml of product which I think is superb.

Shade:

Blackest black

Longevity:

The long lasting power is great as it stays for 5 to 6 hours, without budging or irritating my eyes in any way.

Scent:

It has a typical mascara scent which is not bothersome at all.



My thoughts:

I wholly agree with the claims of this mascara. When it says its black then it really is an intense black and when it mentions that a few strokes take you from natural looking lashes to bold ones, “I nod my head in agreement.” The wand is made of hairy fibers and is a teeny tiny one, perfect to coat your lashes properly without smudging or clumping. I am not a fan of mascaras, rather I would say that I hate mascaras because they feel like something heavy is sitting on my lashes and I can’t properly flutter my wispies, but this isn’t like that. It feels lightweight and very nice. I have seen this mascara in the best mascaras list, in various beauty blogs and in vogue magazine, stating it as a classic gem and I think all the praise is justified. It is good for no makeup makeup look, but my admiration does not end here because if you want dramatic lashes, it provides that too. For only a few bucks you are really getting something. It is long lasting, non-irritating, and perfect for those blessed with small eyes like me. It doesn’t feel like it would take the hell out of my eyes if I try to coat more than recommended. It gives the lashes a super black look, still maintaining a natural effect and the waterproof formula is true to its word. It holds the curl well and is great for clean separate lashes.

None, whatsoever.

For the love of mascaras, buy it.

Would I repurchase?

    I love this mascara too and wonder why there are so many negative reviews about it. For the price it is the best they can provide. Nice review.
