I always live by the
quote mentioned below:
“Every day, strive to refine your contagious shine, and
shake the nonsense offered by those who lack the will to polish-up from
within.” T.F. Hodge.
You can’t have a glow-y skin unless you don’t struggle for
it. Maintaining that summer glow needs a bit of improvement in the consumption
of your food and fluids. Summer is leaving us and colder months are ahead,
bringing us dry, flaky and unappealing skin which we think we can’t make
refined and polished. Fret not! I’m here to save you from turning into a cactus
and will recommend some of my tips and tricks to preserve that summer skin radiance.
Every morning after washing my face, I drink a large glass
of water and when I am in high spirits, I do indulge in making lemonade for
myself because nothing like a drink of water or lemonade refreshes my body and
mood.
Maintaining a summer glow does not mean faking it buy
loading makeup on your face rather it means to improve your body from within
and for that purpose, I love to eat ripe fruits like pomegranates, grapes,
oranges and my favorite fruit, “Apricot.”
Sometimes I face extreme bouts of acne and I have the
annoying habit of scratching them that really gets me nowhere, only my position
gets worse day by day. So, I exfoliate my face with my Petal Fresh Scrub that lessens
the size of my pimples. It moisturizes my face very well, leaving me a healthy
shine.
Weekly indulging in a skin pamper by using Freeman Cucumber Peel off Mask and sometimes the usage of an egg white as a mask helps to clear
my skin and aids me in retaining my skin’s luminosity.
How can I forget a moisturizer when it is a very important
step in maintaining my skin’s richness, I use my favorite St Ives Collagen Elastin Moisturizer, which is very light and mild for my skin and does not
leave a greasy residue behind.
I do have some promising makeup products to fake a skin glow
but I always make sure not to heap makeup on my face. I only use a highlighter
on my cheek bones, cupids bow and chin to reflect that sexy skin glow and
wearing a peachy/coral lipstick gives oomph to my entire look. I do like to
spritz my Luminous Rose Toner as a finishing touch for a dewy looking skin.
Recently, I have been eyeing Aloha, a brand that promotes
health and wellness among people and also they sell some yummy products. They have some amazing healthy recipes on
their website and the one which stole my heart is called Detoxifying Lemonade. Sounds tempting, no? Check out more healthy Aloha recipes here.
I hope this post helped you to maintain
a summer skin glow. What are your tips to preserve that skin glow?
