Review // NYX Lip Lingerie in Ruffle Trim and Beauty Mark!

Saturday, September 03, 2016

Hiya gals,

With the influx of liquid lipsticks in the market, it’s no wonder females are drooling over them, myself included. Seriously, I can’t seem to get enough of them and my obsession with old lipsticks is dying out pretty quickly. I adore this newer version of liquid lipsticks that not only don’t budge but provide ultra-matte and smooth finish.

I hadn’t gotten over the charisma of ColourPop liquid lipsticks yet, when my eyes caught NYX Lip Lingerie; moreover the deafening roar it created hit me hard. So, the end result has brought me up to my blog to sing a few praises on its behalf. I think ‘few’ is unjustifiable because NYX has definitely beaten ColourPop in this category and that’s a big statement to make.

Price, Purchase and Packaging

I purchased two NYX Lip Lingerie in Ruffle Trim and Beauty Mark from a Facebook page, Cosmetic Planet for PKR 1050 each. Packaging is very simple and resembles Kylie Lip kit. It’s just a transparent plastic tube with black cap with no fancy designing and the sponge tipped wand provides a really suave flawless texture. Nevertheless, the entire charm lies in the 4ml liquid inside that’s unbelievably worthwhile of spending money on.

Color and Smell

1. Ruffle Trim is a muted orange shade with hints of brown and pink. It’s an everyday wearable hue, especially for young girls or for a casual day out. The shade is so beautiful; I adore it to the core of my heart and thinking of keeping a backup.

2. Beauty Mark is a dark brown hue with hints of red, though not much observable. It’s so gorgeous and I believe I’ll be using this more in winter months. This is simply incredibly lightweight and of smell-less quality, which makes you feel as if nothing is on the lips.

My Thoughts (Why So Advisable)

For the ease of readers, I’ll list down all the positive features and let me clear it right now that I failed to locate any flaws in this product of NYX, although the NYX blush had disappointed me quite a lot earlier, so before buying these, I carried out some deep research.

I’ve heard some girls disliking ColourPop because of its drying texture but NYX Lip Lingerie has no such issues, period!

You don’t need much to coat your lips, since the wand tip holds much product in it, thus repeated dipping is not required.

As soon as you paint your pout with NYX Lip Lingerie, it begins to dry out and within seconds you are left with the silkiest and most lightweight appearance that not only gives extra oomph but a very charming guise as well.

The odorless formula relegates no wrinkles and no settlement in fine lines, rather submits plumped soft lips in return.

It is also super smooth that won’t let you feel any kind of parchedness, despite having a matte finish.

NYX Lip Lingerie is available in 12 shades; however I think only 6 of them are more workable for us Asian beauties, because the other 6 are inclined towards the nude side.

You will notice the color gradually darkening and seeming a bit more intense, and that looks awesome.

These liquid lipsticks are transfer-proof and stay for a very long time.

The color does fade after some real oily mealtime; otherwise it doesn’t move and is quite a job to take it off.

Surprisingly, the formula is so amazing that it can’t be described in words, it needs to be felt.

Recommendation

Recommended to every girl or woman out there, because you won’t find any other product in this price, that’s so brilliantly beautiful and capable of adorning your lips magically.

Would I Repurchase

You must be kidding me! Of course I’m going to hoard the whole lot. Who can ignore such a deal?

  6. I am drooling over Ruffle trim .... because of so many bad reviews on colourpop liquid lipstick like they dry out lips and fine line appears so visible I changed my mind to buy them but they look quite good

  10. I think ColourPop Ultra Matte lipsticks are the ones that many hated because they are super drying, I may be wrong though. I have tried NYX Lip Lingerie and I personally find it to be drying in comparison to NYX Lip Suedes that are very comfortable to wear and one of my favourite liquid lipsticks formulas.

    1. Yes, Colourpop did receive some major complaints regarding its drying texture but I didn't face any such issues, maybe the formula differs with each shade. I do like Colourpop mattes immensely. As for the nyx suedes, I haven't tried them, so can't comment who is better, lingerie or suede. Though, I will try the suedes soon and will do a thorough comparison. Thanks for sharing your experience. :)

  14. I bought Beauty Mark after reading your post and I must say your review justifies the product excellently. I also like the other shade but I was afraid it won't go well with my complexion, which is a tone or two darker than yours!

    1. Yes, Ruffle Trim too sometimes appears dull on me but still I can't get enough of that shade. Beauty Mark is gorgeous but doesn't catch my eye much. Good you bought it, it'll suit you a lot. Thank you so much.
